HFH-Wisconsin offers a variety of training opportunities for Habitat affiliates and their staff, boards and volunteers.

For questions about these trainings and other available offerings, please contact Sara Kierzek.

Board Member Orientation

HFH-Wisconsin has created an orientation packet and presentation for affiliates to use when they bring on new board members. Having a strong board is essential for the health of an organization. Making sure new board members understand their role and responsibilities helps ensure the board operates effectively to support the affiliate's work and mission.

Competent Person Training

HFHI requires all affiliates to have a Competent person on sites with volunteers at all times. The SSO aims to organize a Competent Person Training once a year. Please contact Sara for more information.

Quarterly Regional Meetings

Habitat for Humanity has five regions throughout the state of Wisconsin, and a representative from one of the affiliates within each region serves on the HFH-Wisconsin board. Regional meetings are held quarterly, with affiliates coming together to hear about new opportunities through the State Support Organization or Habitat International, and to share information with one another. Regional representatives then report information and ideas back to the HFH-Wisconsin board of directors.
