Interfaith Builds: Mission Antigo

Launched in 2016, Mission + Antigo is a week-long opportunity for Christians in the Antigo community to serve their neighbors in the name of Jesus Christ. While many churches send teams to the far reaches of the world, five Antigo churches decided to serve close to home. The result was a week called Mission + Antigo. With the help of Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent Financial, teams cover the city doing home repair, tree planting, weeding, pavement removal, painting, landscaping, sidewalk replacement, cleaning, and small construction projects.

Rev. Kellen Lewis, Antigo Community Church

Kellen first thought about pastoring in first grade when he had all of the pastor’s lines from the Lutheran liturgy memorized. As a child, his church’s Awana program was formational in his spiritual growth. He studied at Calvary University and Trinity International Divinity School.

Travis Rose, Thrivent Financial

Travis Rose has been with the Pinnacle Team of Thrivent Financial since 2012, after he finished serving 4 1/2 years in the 3rd Battalion 75th Regiment of the US Army, joining the Army Reserves and completing his Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance. He resides in rural Wittenberg, Wisconsin with his wife Sara and four children. Travis currently serves as the President of the Wittenberg Area Chamber of Commerce, is a chairperson for the Langlade County Habitat for Humanity Critical Home Repairs program, and is the Vice President of the Langlade County Habitat for Humanity.
