How to Plan Your Own Rock the Block

Description

This session will look into what is necessary to have a successful RTB event including: determining best location, scope of work, finding mutually beneficial partners, informing the public, city participation, event timing, sharing messaging, loan repayment structure, leveraging stories, being mindful of impact on staff and volunteers, and reflecting on lessons learned from past events.

Ryan Roth, Fox Cities HFH

Ryan Roth is the Director of Community Development at the Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity. He is a graduate of St. Mary University, a 6-year veteran of Air National Guard and a past owner of a construction and real estate company. With the help of a dynamic team of professionals led by CEO John Weyenberg, Ryan has built Rock the Block into a sustainable program that has helped raise over $7 million for affordable housing solutions since 2015 and has completed well over 400 projects to date. In 2018 he was named part of the Future 15, a group of aspiring professionals who are making significant impact in their communities. He is married with a 6 year old son and lives in Appleton.
